Personal Background

In the late 90's, and after a backpacking trip to Australia, Pamela met her future husband and settled in the picturesque Isle of Wight where she undertook a business degree followed by a 2 month residential Sivenanda Yoga course. Following graduation, Pamela started teaching Yoga in 2003 with Beginners and Intermediate Hatha yoga classes.

Pamela grew up in the central lowlands of Scotland around Perth and Dundee. After completing school and collage Pamela worked in a number of hospitality roles in rural Scottish hotels and restaurants.

To help alleviate back-pain she had acquired after years in commercial kitchens, in 2000 Pamela began attending Yoga classes. Recognising the physical and mental benefits of Yoga she trained as a Yoga Teacher with The International Sivananda Vedanta Centre where she graduated in 2005 with the the title YOGA SIROMANI - Teacher of Yoga.

Pamela started teaching Yoga in 2005 with Beginners and Intermediate Hatha yoga classes.

In 2007 Pamela & Mat emigrated to Australia and settled in Canberra. Pamela opened a Yoga Studio - Soul Yoga Canberra - where, along with other Yoga teachers, she taught a number of classes ranging from Beginners and Hatha Yoga to Gentle, Kids, Pre-natal and Restorative Yoga. Soul Yoga also hosted Workshops and Teacher Training events presented by eminent international teachers.

After giving birth to a baby girl, Emily, in 2012 and passing Soul Yoga on in 2014 moved with her family to the northern suburbs of Brisbane where she worked for a number of Yoga studios presenting a varying range of Yoga classes including blah blah blah.....

In 2018 Pamela successfully completed the HypnoBirthing Institute's Certified Childbirth Educator course. This enabled her to compliment her Pre-Natal Yoga classes and workshops with Hypnobirthing courses to teach pregnant mothers deep meditation to reduce childbirth stress and ouchyness.
